WaysConf 2025 — From Volunteer to Speaker
A few years ago, I used to come to WaysConf as a volunteer. I loved the atmosphere, the chance to be surrounded by the design community, the talks, the gadgets, the energy. For me, WaysConf was always the UX holiday of the year.
Back then, I couldn’t even dream of being on the stage myself.
And yet—here we are.
This year, for the very first time, I’ll step onto the stage as a speaker at WaysConf. I’m incredibly excited, a little stressed (yes, sweaty hands included), but also grateful for this opportunity to share one of my earliest big projects at Good Lood.
What will I talk about?
This project taught me a lot:
- Understanding our users and guests — seeing how they really interact with our solutions and what matters most to them,
- Discovering the reality of the business — because ice cream may look fun and sweet on the surface, but the challenges are very real,
- Facing tough design dilemmas — from designing for public spaces to asking what kind of responsibility we carry as product designers.
It convinced me that even in industries that look playful or “light,” there’s a serious space for innovation, complexity, and growth.
And the stress part?
Yes, it’s there. Honestly, stage fright has always been my biggest fear. But I decided something recently:
👉 the only way to learn public speaking is by actually doing it.
So here I am. Sometimes I’ll speak too fast, sometimes I’ll need to pause and breathe. But I’ll always bring honesty, energy, and the willingness to share what I’ve learned.
See you at WaysConf!
I can’t wait to meet everyone — old friends, new faces, people who inspire me, and those just starting their design journey. Because honestly, these events are where it all begins.
